ITC571 - Final Update

It’s done!

So this will be the final update in the series on my capstone unit for my IT masters. Hopefully I’ve done enough so I don’t have to repeat it with another blog series! But I got it all finished tonight and submitted.

The hardest part was kind of the theme of this blog, understanding what my contribution would be. But once I had the general idea of the two tier model and how great that could for a practical viticultural system writing the report became a whole lot easier to write. I feel like I’ve had a good idea RE machine learning, the disparate ways in which data is collected really limits the practical uses of the technology, if we are ever going to use this stuff practically in a viticultural system we need to make it easy for standardised images to be collected. YOLO models could solve this for us and represent an exicting place to study further.
